Pestana Royal All Inclusive Ocean & Spa Resort

Our room was large and clean, and had a great sea view which was ideal for sunset. Access to the beach is straightforward via a lift, though the beach itself is very rocky so we stayed by the pool. There was plenty of space for everyone so no need to get up early to grab a sun lounger. We ate all our meals in the buffet and thought the food was of good quality with lots of variety.

The property location was good, 10 mins to city centre. Overall the landscaping around the hotel is fantastic. Lovely to go for walks, or relax by the poolside with a drink. We were upgraded for free drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are offered throughout the day, and poured out by the staff with gusto. The staff were especially nice… eager to assist, and everyone from the receptionist to the staff around the hotel area like pool, children’s area, restaurant were extremely helpful and welcoming.

The staff were very friendly, plenty to drink anytime Most of all, the beautiful tropical plants n flowers within the hotel grounds. Very spacious and clean hotel

The pools were great even during winter season, and elevator to access the beach more easily was very convenient to see the sunset. The food was best during meal-times, the snacks in-between were OK, but we are not fans of fried food. During the summer it might be better, as they have an outdoor grill, which was, unfortunately, not working off-season. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
